Guarantees

We provide the support, administrative services and claims management of the Homefirst Builders Guarantee to members of Certified Builders Association of New Zealand, and to many other approved builders.  We ensure that the building public can be confident before, during and after the building of their home, because we guarantee that the builder will complete the home in accordance with the Building Contract and that it will be defect free.

We provide the Commercial Defects Guarantee, covering major structural defects for 5 years and giving owners and other interested parties (such as mortgagees) confidence that in the event that there is a problem with the building, we will step in and repair the damage immediately, and later seek recovery from responsible parties.

Our WaterTight Warranty gives peace of mind to homeowners, and prospective buyers, that their leaky home remediation work will stand the test of time.  We're also there to step in if anything does go wrong and the builder is no longer around to fix it.

Coming soon...our Earthquake Rebuild Guarantee will offer the same reassurance to Canterbury homeowners and buyers.  They will have peace of mind that their investment, their home, will not cause them any further heartache in the future because of poor workmanship during the rebuilding process.

Insurance

We have developed a Public Liability Insurance policy for builders and specialist trade contractors, which ensures that the cover provided is really there when it’s needed, especially for alleged defective workmanship claims.  And you can get an instant quote and apply online.

We now offer Errors & Omissions Indemnity, once again especially tailored for builder and project managers, so that they can receive the same protection from financial liability that other professional occupations have through their Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Our Sub-Contractors Payment Guarantee protects small and medium businesses in the specialist trades from the risk of non-payment by main contractors.  It's like Trade Credit insurance that big players can get, now available to the guys that really need it!  The guarantee pays 75% of the money owed, to a maximum of $50,000.
