Not yet an approved builder? 
First you need to register your interest online, or download a copy of the form to complete and send to us by post or email.

Once we have received your registration of interest we will send you out a full application pack.  As long as you have the necessary information to hand this will only take a few minutes to complete.  You will also need to send in some supporting documents.

To establish your eligibility, the friendly team at Builtin have made the process as simple as possible:

Unless we require any further information, or if your documentation is incomplete, it will generally take us no more than 15 working days to approve your application.  You can then begin applying for guarantees!

Apply for Guarantees:
Once you’re approved you can start to apply for guarantees.  If you are already an approved builder click here to login and apply for a guarantee online, or to download a copy of the guarantee application form. 

Remember, you will need to complete some sections of the document with the homeowner and both of you need to sign it before sending it to Builtin New Zealand in the post.

After Builtin approves the guarantee application, it will send you and the owner a Construction Period Certificate and written confirmation that the guarantee is accepted.  When the construction and contractual obligations are completed, a Guarantee Certificate will be issued.  If you have any questions, or for help completing the application please phone 0800 BUILTIN or email kim@builtin.co.nz.
